Marketing & SEO for Therapists

This week, someone near you is searching for exactly what you do. They won’t scroll to page two, and they won’t email six therapists. Our job is to make sure yours is the practice they find, and to measure it in booked consultations, not clicks.

  1. How people search

Someone near you is searching for exactly what you do this week, and nobody scrolls to page two.

  2. What we do

Local search, your Google profile, the technical groundwork, and ads when they’re worth it. Foundation first, then growth, then results.

  3. How you’ll know

Every month we walk you through what changed, in plain words, measured in booked consultations.

Five kinds of work, in the order they usually pay off

Not every practice needs all five, and we’ll tell you which parts you can skip. Here is the whole menu, so you can see what you’re choosing between.

  1. Local search

The searches that turn into bookings are local and specific: the kind of therapy, who it’s for, and the town. We find the ones worth winning for your practice, then build and improve the pages that answer them.

    • Keyword research for your area and your specialties
    • A page for each specialty, not one page for everything
    • Location wording that reads naturally, never stuffed
  2. Your Google Business Profile

Your Google profile is often the first thing people see, and for “near me” searches it decides whether you appear at all. We set it up properly, keep your details correct, and give you an easy way to keep reviews coming in.

    • Profile set up with the right categories and services
    • The same name, address and phone number everywhere online
    • A simple, ethical way to ask clients for reviews
  3. The technical groundwork

Google rewards sites that are fast, well structured and easy for it to read. Visitors never see most of this, but ignoring it is costly. So we do it once, properly, and keep it that way.

    • Speed, phone display and making every page easy to crawl
    • Page titles, descriptions and a clear heading structure
    • Structured data, a sitemap and clean redirects
  4. Paid ads, when they’re worth it

Ads bring visitors while search rankings build. They help most for a new practice, a new location, or a specialty you want to fill quickly. We run them on Google, Facebook and Instagram, and we tell you plainly when they aren’t worth it for you.

    • Campaigns built around consultations, not clicks
    • Results tracked and adjusted every month
    • An honest answer if your budget is better spent elsewhere
  5. Email and text follow-up

Most people who get in touch aren’t ready to book that week. Gentle, automatic follow-up keeps you in touch without you having to remember, and helps past clients find their way back when they need you.

    • Inquiry follow-up that doesn’t feel like sales
    • Newsletters and updates to your existing list
    • Reminders and check-ins, with an easy opt-out every time

Foundation, then growth, then results

SEO builds on itself, which means month one is quieter than month three. Knowing the shape in advance is what keeps you going right up to the point where it starts to work.

  1. Month 1

    Foundation

Your site is made worth sending visitors to, and the tools go in: Google Analytics and Search Console verified, your Google profile fixed, the target searches agreed, and the first pages built or rewritten.

    Website and SEO groundwork

  2. Month 2

    Growth

Ads and content begin. Rankings start to move on the specific searches that are easiest to win, and this is usually when the first consultations from the work arrive.

    Campaigns live, first consultations

  3. Month 3

    Results

There’s now enough data to see what works, so effort goes there: more of the pages that bring inquiries, less of what doesn’t. From here, it’s a monthly rhythm rather than a project.

    Regular consultations, monthly rhythm

Measured in consultations, explained in plain words

Google Analytics and Search Console are connected from the start, so from week one there’s a record of what people searched, what they clicked and where they gave up. That record decides next month’s work.

Every month we go through it with you: what moved, what didn’t, and what we’re doing about it. No dashboard to decode on your own, and no report that celebrates clicks while your calendar stays empty.

Your monthly review

Example
Searches you appeared in
Up · 41 new searches
Visits to your site
Up · most from phones
Consultation requests
3 more than last month
Pages to improve next
2 · fees and the couples page
An example of what the review looks like, not a real practice’s numbers. Yours is read with you on a call, and next month’s work is decided from it.

Rankings need something to rank

Technical work makes your site eligible to compete. Pages that truly answer what people are asking are what win. If you’d like that handled too, it’s a service of its own.

What we won’t promise

Marketing for licensed practices attracts a lot of overpromising. Here’s where we draw the line, so nothing on this page has to be taken back on a call.

  • A guaranteed spot on Google. Nobody controls the rankings. Anyone selling you the number one spot is guessing, or using tricks that get penalized later.

  • Results next week. The technical work is quick. Rankings move over months. When something has to happen sooner, ads are the lever, and we’ll say so.

  • Fake or paid reviews. We’ll help you ask real clients, ethically and within your licensing board’s rules. We will never write reviews or buy them.

  • A number of new clients. We’re accountable for how visible you are, your inquiries and your consultations. Whether someone becomes a client depends on fit and fees, which is exactly where that decision belongs.

Marketing and SEO questions

Straight answers. If yours isn’t here, ask us on the free call.

How long does SEO take to work for a therapy practice?

The technical fixes take effect quickly, but rankings build over months. Most practices see the specific, local searches move first, often in the second month. Ads can bring visitors sooner while that happens.

Can you guarantee my practice will be on the first page of Google?

No, and nobody honestly can. What we can promise is the work that earns rankings, done properly, and a plain-language review every month showing what moved and what we’re doing next.

Do I need Google Ads?

Not always. Ads are useful for a new practice, a new location or a specialty you want to fill quickly. If your budget is better spent on your website or your Google profile, we’ll tell you that instead.

Can you help me get more Google reviews?

Yes, ethically. We set up a simple way to ask clients for a review that respects confidentiality and your licensing board’s rules. We never write, buy or reward reviews.

Do I need a new website before you start marketing?

Not always. On the call we look at your current site and tell you honestly whether it can be improved or whether it’s holding you back. Marketing works best when the site it sends people to is ready for them.

How much does marketing and SEO cost?

It depends on your area, your specialties and which parts of the work you need. We give you a clear price on the discovery call, and we’ll tell you which parts you can skip.

Bring your town and your specialty. We’ll tell you what’s winnable

On the call we’ll look at what people near you actually search for, what your site ranks for now, and where the quickest honest win is, even if that isn’t us.
